'2007 MBC Drama Awards' Best Actor, Bae Young-Jun

On the night of the 30th, the ‘2007 MBC Drama Awards’ was broadcasted live throughout the nation, honoring Bae Young-Jun, star of ‘Taewangsasingi (The Four Guardian Gods of the King)’, with the Best Actor Award. MBC’s ‘Taewangsasingi’ pulled in much popularity in the latter part of the year, becoming the most watched drama. Accordingly, Bae Young-Jun won the grand award of Best Actor and the Most Popular Male Award, while he also received the award of Best Couple along with his co-star, the new up-and-coming actress, Lee Ji-Ah. Lee Ji-Ah additionally won awards in the Most Popular Female and Best New Actress categories. ‘Taewangsasingi’ continued to receive a total of 8 awards including the Award of Excellence (CG Team) and the Golden Actor Award of the historical drama category (Choi Min-Soo).
All eyes were on Bae Young-Jun as he attended the awards ceremony in crutches due to an unfortunate injury, repeatedly climbing the steps to center stage to receive his awards.
Furthermore, the two stars of the drama ‘The First Shop Of Coffee Prince’, Yun Eun-Hye and Gong-Yu, each won Best Female Actress and Best Male Actor, respectively.
