Chinese want to see which Korean stars the most in Meteor Garden

A news about the manga Meteor Garden will be produced to a drama by Korean productions draw much attention not only in Korean audiences but also in Chinese audiences.

At the present, although the official of Chinese culture is finding all ways to prevent the affection wave of Korean trend, but Korean dramas are still been known by the audiences through internet and pirate discs.

Recently, a big site of China did a poll voting the castings in Meteor Garden. This is the result as follow:

Character Shan Cai:


Candidate No1: Yoon Eun Hye
The reason is because the characters she has been acted in Goong and Coffee Prince that have the personality as same as Shan Cai.


Candidate No2: Song Hye Kyo
Reason: In drama Full House, she has expressed the reckless and lovely of the character.


Character Dao Ming Shi:
Candidate No1: Hyun Bin
Reason: He is a charming man


Candidate No2: Bi (Rain)
Reason: He acted well as half arrogant and half childish character in Full House


Candidate No3: Won Bin
Reason: Although it has been a long time he hasn't appeared in public, but he still a charming man

"Meteor Garden" Set for Korean Remake

Taiwan's smash hit television drama "Meteor Garden" will soon be made into a Korean version, South Korean media reported.

The remake is scheduled to be screened in late 2008, with twenty-four 70-minute episodes. The cast has not been announced yet, the report said.

The high school-based romance serials, adapted from a Japanese manga, have won extreme popularity in the Chinese-speaking world and catapulted the five leads, Barbie Hsu, Vanness Wu, Vic Zhou, Jerry Yan and Ken Chu, to immediate stardom when it first aired in 2001.

A Japanese version, "Hana Yori Dango," aired in Japan in 2005, also to great success.
