'New husband' Jang Hyeok, Crazy about pictures after getting role of photographer

'New husband' Jang Hyeok is coming back to the screen after four years and is crazy about pictures.

Jang Hyeok is studying photography, for he will play a photographer in the movie "Penthouse Elephant", which starts filming in June.

In order to fully get into the role, he has been receiving private tutoring in photography.

He is showing his passion for photography, for the pictures he took himself will appear in the movie.

The movie "Penthouse Elephant" is about the friendship and the love of three men, and will reveal it in a fantastical and sensational sense. Lee Sang-woo and Jo Dong-hyeok were also cast.

Jang Hyeok had a private wedding with ballerina Kim Yeo-jin, two years his senior, on June 2, at Imperial Palace Hotel in Seoul.

Robbers episode 1 review (half)

[!Contains spoilers, you have been warned]

I didn't finish the first episode yet, it's late 4am ^^ but Robbers is highly enjoyable.Looking forward for more.It reminds me a lot of My Girl but Jang Hyuk plays the role of a swindler instead of Lee Da Hae.I didn't figure out his occupation yet but seems like he's a gigolo. The first scene begins with Jang Hyuk kissing his 'current' girlfriend farewell at the airport.You might think it's a heartbreaking goodbye scene but only to see later that Jang Hyuk was only after the money of the girl!










The scene then changes to Lee Da Hae going shopping with her mother-in-law for a dress for a matchmaking date.She ended not buying anything since it's too expensive being cheap as she is.




We see Jang Hyuk coming out of the shower in a hotel room.(Naked Jang-Hyuk = higher ratings!That seems to be the formulae for kdramas now.)




He then gets beaten up by gangsters that he propably owed money.Somehow he manages to escape only to find himself in front of two other gangsters who kidnap him with his own car!



Lee Da hae, still being furious from a matchmaking date setted up by her mother-in-law accidentally hits Jang Hyuk's car (it's not even his).





We learn that Lee Da Hae lives with her daughter and mother-in-law.Her husband seems to have passed away.

......
I thought it would be a drama drama but it seems to be a comedy drama.I remember not being able to stand Lee Da Hae's voice in Green Rose but I've gotten used to her since My girl.

Robbers episode 1 subs are out!

If you didn't check D-addicts yet, the sub for Robbers is out.Episode 1 of course.I still have no idea what the story is about.I finished downloading the first episode on clubbox.Will watch it later I hope.

Actor Jang Hyeok to Marry in June

Jang Hyeok, 31, the popular actor of the movie "Windstruck", will marry in June and become a father in February.

SidusHQ, Jang's agency, announced Jang's nuptial through a press release Dec. 29.

Jang and his fiancee Kim, 33, first met at a fitness club in 2002, she was a Pilates instructor at that time. "2004 was a really difficult year for me, but she was with me. She supported me in my difficult times and I can't even find the words to describe how thankful and moved I am", Jang said in the press release.

They got engaged last June and Kim is expecting a baby in February. Their wedding ceremony will take place June 2 at W Seoul - Walkerhill, after Kim's delivery. "We already named the baby, Tae-hui. I hope the baby will be a open-minded person like the name", Jang said. "Tae" in Korean means grand and "hui" means happiness.

Jang, a Busan-native born in 1976, debuted in the SBS TV drama "Models" (1997). He also starred in the movie "Volcano High" (2001) and drama "The Successful Story Of A Bright Girl" (2002).

He shot the romantic comedy movie "Windstruck" (2004) with Jeon Ji-hyeon, also known as Gianna Jun.

However, at the peak of his popularity, Jang was called to serve in the army, along with other famous actors Song Seung-heon and Han Jae-seok. He had attempted to dodge the obligatory military service earlier. He was discharged in November 2006.

Jang made a successful comeback with MBC drama "Thank You" (2007). He portrayed a lonely doctor living on an island who falls in love a single mom with a daughter who has AIDS.

Jang starred in his first Hollywood movie "Dance of the Dragon" with Singaporean actress Fann Wong and is currently shooting the SBS drama "Robber" (Bulhandang), which will air Wednesday.

Jang Hyuk & Lee DaHae has been casted in SBS Drama 'Robbers.' 'Robbers' will show a love story between a player who preys on women and a single mom. Director Yoo InShik who directed Bad Couple and Bad Family and Writer Kim GyuWan who wrote Piano and Spring Time will work together. Jang Hyuk will play Kwon OJoon who takes away the soul of women with his stature & tongue play. Lee DaHae plays a single mom Jin DalRae who lives with her 5 year old daughter and mother-in-law after her husband passed away. SBS Drama 'Robbers' will replace Lobbyist and start on December 26th.
