Lotte Cinema overtook DMC, a Korean company which has been in the cinema business in Vietnam, and yesterday announced their opening of small theaters in Ho Chi Minh and Da Nang.
Though CGV and Megabox have already opened in Shanghai and Beijing, respectively, this is the first multiplex to open in Vietnam.
Lotte Cinema is planning on operating a theater within the Lotte Mart which will also be opening in Ho Chi Minh at the end of this year, as well as Hanoi and other major cities.
