“East of Eden” in Trouble?
Mega drama “East of Eden” seems to be experiencing some internal troubles, as its star Song Seung-heon skipped Wednesday’s reading without any advance notice. The cast of “East of Eden” has held reading sessions every Wednesday.
Some speculate that Song’s absence had to do with the recent bow-out of Lee Da-hye, a female costar. Lee decided to quit the show because, unlike in the original synopsis, her character’s importance in the show was greatly reduced. Consequently, actors and actresses who played Lee’s parents and associates are also likely to be dropped from the show.
The spectacular drama was famous for its star-studded cast featuring Song, Han Ji-hye, Yeon Jeong-hoon, Lee Yeon-hee, and Lee Da-hye, as well as its complicated plot involving babies switched at birth, family rivalry, revenge, and, of course, star-crossed lovers. However, the show recently faced some troubles with ridiculous plot development and late scripts. Some actors voiced their complaints when the show’s main writer came to the reading on Wednesday and the confrontation apparently ended up in a shouting match. The future of this ambitious show is at peril and so is the prospect for its overseas sales.

Omg i am sobbing, the scene between Dong Chul & Young Ran is just too touching. Dong Chul can't even hug her bc of her dad...She made the decision to let him go and marry Dennis Oh aka Mike and let Dong Chul go instead.

I am catching up with EOE now, subs for episode 32 is already out!There is not much romance goin on in episode 16,17. I wish they had more cute scenes between Dong Chul & Young Ran =3 and what's the *spoiler* thing with the old guy and Hye Rin?It doesn't add much to the plot in my opinion it's just weird.

East Of Eden Episode 15 : Dong Chul & Young Ran
I am watching this episode right now and not even 4 minutes has passed, there's a heart wrenching scene between Dong Chul & Young Ran.
Three years have passed since Young Ran left for Japan to follow her studies while Dong Chul keeps climbing in the world of casinos under the wings of Young Ran's Dad. Eventhough, Dong Chul comes to Japan often for business he never looked for Young Ran because of a promise...until today...
Dong Chul sees Young Ran
And so they meet again, under the tree, East of Eden tree?
Young Ran's thoughts:" I miss you, the face of yours,constantly emerges my mind.I have been waiting, drowing in suffocation, just to have a glimpse of your face"
But when they meet face to face, she's cold to him again!Duh

And the first thing that Dong Chul receives is a slap XD.
Then, finally she's letting her emotions out.
